Wow! I am a vegtarian and occasionally I worry about how it'll affect my athletic performance, but this was really encouraging!
I am a Vegetarian. I must admit it isn't all its cracked up to be because you have to try REALLY hard to make sure you get enough vitamins and things like that. If not well it's not fun. But if you do it right it really makes you feel great and blood tests come out better too (as in less cholesterol). I did it my parents did it you can too. But be sure to consult a doctor first especially if you are diabetic or have other heath problems,well contact him/her anyways just to make sure its okay and you don't need to do anything special to be able to become Vegetarian first.
