Gardening is a great activity that can improve your functional strength and overall fitness and health. It's a good idea to supplement gardening with a fitness program including some aerobic and resistance training for best results. Use sunscreen and be careful not to strain your back. This is so true about gardening being exercise!!! Plus it will get you some much needed fresh air. If you have dogs----a bonus, bond time with them also. outdoors for everyone does all bodies good.
