December 6, 2002, Newsletter Issue #118: Working Out With a Cold

Tip of the Week

If you have a cold, you can apply the neck check to see if you can exercise. If the symptoms are above the neck, such as runny nose, minor sore throat, you can work out if you feel like it. If you have a deep cough, general aches and pains, or a fever, don`t exercise. Rest and drink fluids and see the doc if it doesn`t get better. The best way to keep from catching a cold in the first place is to wash your hands a lot and keep your fingers away from your eyes and nose.
