Tip of the Week

Cardio Machines

Gyms are full of machines that can give you a cardio workout, and most of them have a home version. You can go quickly from one to the other and get the same workout. t
That is, 10 minutes on each of 3 machines at the same intensity equals 30 minutes on one machine. Look for any of these: treadmill, stationary bike, stair climber, rowing machine, cross-country ski simulator, elliptical trainer. If you find a Cross-Robics or a Versa-Climber, you can get a good workout on those, and there are others that either didn`t become popular or are on their way to becoming the next fad. Upper body ergometers, where you use your arms instead of your legs to get in the training zone, are available. Note that although these machines help control your weight by burning lots of calories, they don`t build muscles or tone your posterior. You need to head to the weight room for that.
